Fisherman killed while sleeping after argument in Eastern Samar
A fisherman identified as Rod was fatally stabbed by his drinking companion Lito while asleep in Barangay Binogawan, San Policarpo, Eastern Samar on Saturday afternoon.
Police say the 61-year-old farmer Lito, also a widower, attacked Rod after a heated dispute and stabbed him around 4 p.m. in the rural barangay. The victim, a local fisherman, was found dead while sleeping. Authorities arrested Lito at his home shortly after the incident. The San Policarpo Municipal Police Station provided the details of the case.
