Five men charged after violent disorder incident in Ballinasloe, Galway
Five men were arrested and charged following a violent disorder episode in Ballinasloe, County Galway, and are set to appear in Loughrea District Court.
Police on a proactive patrol detained five adult males after a disturbance in the St Michael’s Square area of Ballinasloe on Saturday. Four of the suspects are in their 20s and one is in his 30s; all have been formally charged. A teenage boy was also taken into custody but released without charge pending further investigation. The accused are scheduled to appear before a special sitting of Loughrea District Court at 11 am today, while inquiries continue.
