Five Teenagers Killed When Car Careens Off Colorado Cliff

Around 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, first responders reached a crash site on a steep slope outside Grand Junction, Colorado, where a car had left the roadway and plunged down a cliff overlooking the Gunnison River. The wreck contained five teenage boys—Braden Taylor, Tristan Tucker, Titus Gould, William Simms and Tyler Martinez—who were all declared dead at the scene. According to the coroner, three of the occupants, including the driver, were wearing seat belts, while two unrestrained passengers were thrown from the vehicle.

Family members have launched GoFundMe campaigns to cover funeral expenses and support grieving relatives. The Grand Junction Police Department said investigators are looking into whether excessive speed contributed to the tragedy.
