Florida addiction clinic intern charged with sexual misconduct after alleged patient encounters

Michelle Luchau-Rebora, a 32-year-old intern at the New Hope C.O.R.P.S. addiction treatment center in Homestead, Florida, was charged with sexual misconduct by a psychotherapist, a third-degree felony that carries up to five years in prison. Court filings claim she began a three-month sexual relationship with an unidentified 42-year-old male patient in June, during which they allegedly had intercourse during therapy sessions and at her Pinecrest residence, her mother’s Key Biscayne home, and Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital.

The documents state she provided alibis that allowed the patient to exit the restricted facility for these encounters and demanded secrecy to protect her future career. The patient reported the affair after Luchau-Rebora ended it last fall, prompting the center to report the matter, fire her, and assist investigators. She posted a $5,000 bond, was released from custody, and refused to discuss the case further.
