Florida rallies past Auburn 44-39 in SEC showdown as Baugh shines

In a high-scoring SEC contest, Florida edged Auburn 44-39, marking the Gators' first three-win start since 2019. Running back Jadan Baugh carried the ball 26 times for 162 yards and three touchdowns, dominating the second half with 106 yards and two scores. Aaron Philo threw for 202 yards and a touchdown, while receivers Vernell Brown III and Dallas Wilson combined for 160 yards and a touchdown.

Auburn's offense, led by Byrum Brown's 271 passing yards, three touchdowns and an interception, also featured a 65-yard rushing effort and a dramatic 35-yard Hail-Mary to Chaz Nimrod late in the game. New coaches Jon Sumrall and Alex Golesh each recorded their inaugural conference outcomes, with Florida earning a signature road victory.
