Ford recalls over 11,000 2026 Rangers due to rear-view camera screen failure

Ford has issued a safety recall for roughly 11,405 units of its 2026 Ranger pickup that feature a 10.1-inch center-stack screen. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the screen can lose power, causing the rear-view camera feed to disappear and potentially increasing the risk of a collision while reversing. To date, no accidents or injuries have been reported in connection with the problem.

The automaker is working on a corrective solution, and owners will receive interim letters about the safety issue on October 5. Additional correspondence will be sent once a repair is available. The recall highlights ongoing concerns about electronic component reliability in modern vehicles.
