Foreign student killed when bus plows into stopped motorcycle and other vehicles in Subang Jaya

Early this morning on Jalan USJ 1, a bus driven by a 29-year-old man veered off its path while heading from Persiaran Subang Mewah to Edumetro, crashing into a motorcycle that was halted at a red light. The motorcycle, carrying two 19-year-old foreign students from Asia Pacific University, was the first victim; the passenger on the back seat was killed on site. The bus then struck a car parked on the left shoulder and two more vehicles ahead.

The surviving rider suffered severe injuries and was rushed to Shah Alam Hospital for treatment. The deceased was sent to the hospital’s forensic department for a post-mortem examination. District police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat confirmed the case is being pursued under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act for reckless or dangerous driving, and investigators are seeking witnesses.
