Former Angleton High teacher arrested on alcohol and evidence-tampering charges

The Brazoria County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of former Angleton High School teacher Holly Adams on charges of tampering with evidence and two counts of furnishing alcohol to a minor. The investigation started after a student informed school officials that Adams had maintained an inappropriate relationship with a former student, describing FaceTime calls from her bedroom and the presence of nude photos on her bed.

Additional allegations include inviting students to her home for chores and using Snapchat to speak with three members of the school baseball team. Psychiatrist Gail Saltz commented on the psychological dynamics of such teacher-student abuse, noting the harm to male victims. Adams was taken to the Brazoria County Detention Center, posted a $26,000 bond, and was released the same day. The Angleton Independent School District confirmed she is no longer employed by the district.
