Former butler describes Alan Jones greeting athletes with hug and slap

During the eighth week of a high-profile trial in Sydney, former butler David Allan testified about Alan Jones’s conduct toward visiting athletes. Allan, who managed Jones’s household duties for 18 and a half years until August 2019, described a routine greeting that involved a hug, a slap on the bottom and the use of flattering terms such as “champion.” He recalled multiple athletes, including a young male guest between 2003 and 2005, receiving the same treatment.

The evidence supports the case of complainant M, who alleges two counts of indecent assault and sexual touching. Jones, now 85, has entered a not-guilty plea on all charges. The judge, Glenn Walsh, continues to hear arguments from both prosecution and defence.
