Former campaign treasurer admits to stealing roughly $1 million from Chris Rabb and other clients

Campaign operative Yolanda Brown entered a U.S. District Court in Philadelphia and pleaded guilty to a single count of wire fraud, admitting to embezzling about $1 million from 20 clients, including Rep. Chris Rabb, from 2022 through 2026. Brown, who ran a consulting firm and previously worked on Democratic campaigns, allegedly moved thousands of dollars from Rabb’s campaign into a separate account she controlled, then transferred $6,000 to her personal bank.

Federal prosecutors described a broader pattern of misappropriating client funds to cover personal expenses and to reimburse other victims. The fraud left Rabb’s campaign with a loss of more than $160,000, prompting a Federal Elections Commission filing. Brown faces a maximum sentence of 20 years and will be required to make restitution; her sentencing hearing is scheduled for Jan. 26. Rabb, who secured the Democratic nomination for Pennsylvania’s 3rd Congressional District, has not commented.
