Former captain Rashid Latif urges PCB to shield Babar Azam from English press

Rashid Latif, a former Pakistan captain, told Geo News that the PCB should protect Babar Azam from the English press during the three-Test tour of England, citing the media's tendency to involve visiting sides in extraneous coverage. He suggested that former skipper Shan Masood, familiar with English conditions and media, should be the primary spokesperson. Latif's remarks followed Babar's notable contributions in the two-Test series against the West Indies, where he scored an unbeaten 58 in a loss and an 88 in a win that broke Pakistan's eight-match away-Test losing run.

The England series will begin at Headingley in Leeds on August 19, continue at Lord’s on August 27, and conclude at Edgbaston on September 9. Latif believes limiting Babar's media exposure will help the team focus on performance. The PCB has not yet responded to the suggestion.
