Former colleague says he saw nothing alarming at 2008 lunch where Jones was accused of misconduct

In the ongoing criminal trial of veteran broadcaster Alan Jones, former colleague Jason Morrison provided evidence that he observed no unsettling conduct at a 2008 lunch where a junior employee, identified as Complainant C, alleges Jones touched his crotch and thigh. Morrison, a longtime associate of Jones from their time at 2GB, testified that the complainant appeared merely smiling and that any remarks made were typical workplace banter.

He recalled other attendees looking over at the complainant but said they could not see what occurred beneath the table. The trial, held in the NSW Local Court, involves Jones pleading not guilty to 22 charges of indecent assault and sexual touching of six men. Additional allegations include alleged assaults in lifts, a car, and an apartment, all of which Jones denies. The court heard another witness describe the scene as “startled” and “amused,” but also unable to confirm the alleged contact.
