Former Cornell student sues seven Chi Phi members over alleged ketamine-fueled gang rape
An anonymous former Cornell student has filed a lawsuit accusing seven Chi Phi fraternity members of drugging and sexually assaulting her in October 2024.
A 20-year-old woman who attended Cornell University has sued seven members of the Chi Phi fraternity, claiming they drugged her with ketamine and gang-raped her in October 2024. According to the Manhattan Supreme Court filing, a Snapchat group chat among the men contained a message reading “Free p—y,” which allegedly encouraged additional participants to enter the frat house bedroom. The complaint states one defendant ordered the victim to snort ketamine off his erect penis, after which the group allegedly performed oral and vaginal intercourse without her consent.
The assault reportedly continued until early morning, and the victim reported the incident to campus and Ithaca police a week later. Cornell placed the fraternity and the accused on temporary suspension, while the Tompkins County District Attorney’s office said no criminal charges were filed.
