Former Disney child star files negligence lawsuit alleging abuse by employee
Raquel Lee, who acted in the 2001 Disney Channel movie The Poof Point, has sued Disney for negligence, claiming a male employee repeatedly assaulted her during production.
Raquel Lee, who appeared in the Disney Channel original The Poof Point, has lodged a negligence suit against Disney, asserting that a middle-aged male employee repeatedly assaulted her during the film’s production. According to the filing, the employee first groomed and assaulted Lee in a hotel room in Salt Lake City and later on a flight to Los Angeles, and also made sexually explicit remarks and used hugs to approach her on set, all while the cast and crew were present.
The complaint states that Disney staff took no action despite the behavior being audible to sound technicians. Lee claims the abuse contributed to a decline in her performance, and Disney allegedly threatened to cancel her role in a subsequent project. Her lawyer, Doug Wigdor, noted the case fits a broader pattern of alleged predatory conduct linked to the studio. Both parties declined to comment.
