Former Duke star Kyle Singler alleges coach Mike Krzyzewski ignored his pleas in Instagram videos

Kyle Singler, who played for Duke under Coach Mike Krzyzewski from 2007 to 2011 and won the 2010 NCAA title, uploaded three Instagram clips describing a sense of abandonment by his former coach. He claimed he had no power, no housing, and that his outreach to Krzyzewski was met with dismissal, leaving him feeling imprisoned and monitored. Singler also said his bank accounts were frozen and accused Duke of demanding money.

The former NBA player, drafted 33rd overall by Detroit in 2011 and retired in 2019, previously faced a misdemeanor assault and battery charge involving a child in Haskell County, Oklahoma, which he later denied. Deputy Mitch Dobbs documented the arrest, noting alleged injuries on a woman’s face and arm. Singler has previously asserted he is not a bad person in an interview with The Oklahoman.
