Former HR Minister Saravanan seeks faster court schedule for graft case

At a court mention in Kuala Lumpur, former HR Minister Datuk Seri M. Saravanan urged the judge to set an earlier trial date for his graft case. The prosecution has handed over a single volume of documents and asked for extra time to prepare two more, proposing a date at the end of November. Saravanan’s counsel successfully moved for a re-mention on November 3, which the judge accepted.

The MIC deputy president emphasized that the defence is fully prepared and that the case stems from 2022, not a new allegation. He expressed hope that the prosecution will submit all remaining documents by the new date and that the proceedings will not be postponed further. The case management hearing is set to continue before Judge Azura Alwi on that day.
