Former Justice Ministry deputy faces charges of abuse of power and neglect
The prosecutor's office has charged former state secretary of the Justice Ministry, Michał W., with exceeding his authority and failing to fulfill duties.
Prosecutors have filed an indictment against Michał W., who previously served as state secretary in the Ministry of Justice, overseeing the Prison Service and its internal inspectorate. The charge cites abuse of authority and neglect of official duties, carried out with the aim of damaging public interest and securing personal gain. Evidence gathered by investigators led to a reasonable suspicion of misconduct during his tenure. Following the filing, Michał W. was interrogated as a suspect and refused to admit the alleged actions. The investigation currently lists a total of six suspects, including him.
