Bucharest’s Secția 27 police arrested former K1 fighter Anatoli “Tolea” Ciumac after a brawl captured on surveillance video in the Centrul Vechi district. The footage revealed an initial reciprocal confrontation that quickly turned into a one-sided assault, with Ciumac repeatedly hitting the other individual. Both parties were identified and brought to the police station for questioning; the victim chose not to press charges.
Authorities placed Ciumac in custody for 24 hours on charges of assault and disturbing public peace, pending a judicial hearing. The investigation is being coordinated by the prosecutor’s office attached to the Sector 3 Court. Ciumac has a history of prior arrests for violent and economic offenses, including incidents in Oradea, Bacău, and Ilfov.
