Former Kremlin-Bicêtre mayor sentenced and ordered to wear electronic monitor
Jean-Marc Nicolle, ex-mayor of Kremlin-Bicêtre, was found guilty of multiple corruption-related crimes and must now wear an electronic bracelet.
A court convicted former Kremlin-Bicêtre mayor Jean-Marc Nicolle on charges including abuse of trust, fraud, favoritism, aggravated money-laundering and passive influence-peddling between 2013 and 2017. He served as first deputy under former mayor Jean-Luc Laurent, then as mayor from 2016, and also led the Val-de-Bièvre agglomeration community. All accusations were upheld except the passive influence-peddling charge, for which he was acquitted. The sentence includes the requirement to wear an electronic monitoring device.
