Ali Balayman Sangki, the candidate backed by Al-Ittihad-Ungaya sa Kawagib Nu Bangsamoro, leads the race for the Bangsamoro parliamentary seat in Maguindanao del Sur’s 3rd District, having amassed 63,096 votes according to 94.51% of returns as of September 14. Engineer Habbas Sabpa Camendan of the United Bangsamoro Justice Party is far behind with 11,253 votes, making a comeback unlikely. Other contenders include independent Borgiva Tasmi Datumanong, Bangsamoro Party’s Datu Edo Mamasapano Upam, and Bangsamoro Federalist Party’s Daud Baknal Upam.
Sangki previously served in the regional parliament from 2019 to 2025. The tally was reported from Cotabato City.
