Former PA sues Amazon MGM and Big Indie over alleged harassment by showrunner

Ijaaz Noohu, a former production assistant on the crime drama Criminal, has sued Amazon MGM Studios and Big Indie Pictures, alleging the companies turned a blind eye to a toxic workplace fostered by showrunner Ed Brubaker. The complaint lists claims of sexual harassment, racial and religious discrimination, assault and battery, among other allegations. It recounts Brubaker making inappropriate comments about Noohu’s hair, joking about rape, and using stereotypical remarks about curry and “Tiger Mom” tropes.

A senior producer reportedly saw Brubaker point a working firearm at Noohu’s face and pull the trigger, yet no action was taken. After requesting a promotion, Noohu says his departure date was moved up and he was later barred from the set. The lawsuit accuses Amazon MGM and Big Indie of failing to investigate the alleged misconduct despite multiple senior staff witnessing it.
