Former police officer sentenced to over three years for raping 14-year-old

A suspended police officer was convicted of raping a 14-year-old girl and sentenced to three years and three months in prison.

In a closed proceeding at the Landgericht Traunstein, a suspended Bundespolizei officer was sentenced to three years and three months for raping a 14-year-old girl in August 2025. The defendant, a trans woman, fully confessed to forcing the victim into a fast-food restroom, groping her and inserting a finger. She also possessed child sexual abuse images, including depictions of very young children, though charges of producing animal-related porn were dropped.

The court noted that her gender identity was irrelevant to the judgment. The verdict removes her civil-service status and pension entitlements, and she will serve her term in a male prison wing, where she faces hostility. The case highlights the severity of sexual offenses committed by law-enforcement personnel.

Why it matters

The case shows that law-enforcement officials can be held accountable for serious sexual crimes and lose their status.
