Former school guard sentenced to eight years; Győr court upholds 16‑year term for man who gave drugs and coerced sexual activity with a teen

A Budapest district court convicted a former school guard, who also worked as a caregiver in a children’s home, of child endangerment, repeated sexual assault and facilitating child prostitution and handed down an eight‑year custodial sentence without the possibility of conditional release. In a separate case, a man previously sentenced to 16 years for providing a teenager with self‑grown narcotics and coercing sexual activity had that sentence upheld by the Győri Appeal Prosecutor's Office, which also barred him from any occupation involving minors.

Both rulings involve abuse of authority over vulnerable minors and result in lengthy prison terms. The two decisions were issued by courts in Budapest and Győr respectively.
