Former secretariat chief reassigned after undisclosed diplomatic posting in Singapore

Nosztics Ágnes, who led the secretariat for former national-economy minister Nagy Márton, was transferred to the Finance Ministry after it was revealed she had been given a diplomatic assignment in Singapore without having passed a language test. The four-year post was established by a non-public government decree (2396/2025) and required documented language proficiency, which she was allowed to defer for a year by ministerial decision, with the possibility of further extension.

The Finance Ministry, successor to the National Economy Ministry, cited a document confirming the reallocation of her remuneration and invoked the 2016 Foreign Service Act for her immediate appointment. A detailed internal review, potentially involving external scrutiny, is still underway, and the ministry will issue more information once the investigation concludes. The case also mentions another recent diplomatic appointment, Kondor Anna, who was later dismissed, but her background remains under review.
