Former Swans striker slams Hull's £10m offer for top scorer Vipotnik
Ex-Swansea forward Andy Robinson called Hull City's roughly £10 million bid for striker Zan Vipotnik "pathetic" and suggested the player is worth at least double that.
Former Swansea City attacker Andy Robinson described Hull City's bid of roughly £10 million for Championship top scorer Zan Vipotnik as "pathetic" and argued the Slovenian international deserves a valuation of £20 million to £25 million. Robinson noted Vipotnik's 23 league goals last term and his contribution of an assist in the recent 2-1 victory at Stoke City. He added that despite the offer, Swansea's finances are healthy and the club has multiple forward options, including Melker Widell, Moussa Yeo and Ross Stewart.
Robinson suggested that even if the board decides to sell, the £10 million figure is far too low. He expressed confidence that Vipotnik will continue to score goals for the Swans.
Why it matters
The dispute over Vipotnik's valuation could affect Swansea's transfer strategy and financial planning.
