He claimed that 95.8% of Biden-era laws, rules and regulations bypass Congress, and pointed to a 2022 lawsuit filed by 22 Republican attorneys general against the USDA over a requirement that schools receiving federal lunch funds adopt sexual-orientation and gender-identity anti-discrimination policies. Miyares warned that such mandates could affect the majority of school districts nationwide, emphasizing the need for states to push back against perceived federal overreach.
