Former Wolves defender Lescott laments club's dismissal of manager Edwards

Lescott praised the players recruited for the upcoming Championship campaign, arguing they give Wolves a strong chance of promotion. He acknowledged the arrival of Portuguese manager César Peixoto as the new head coach.

The former international also singled out West Ham United as another club likely to contend for promotion, citing their squad depth and fan base. Lescott described the Championship as physically demanding and mentally different from the top flight, emphasizing the need for consistency to succeed. He concluded that any route back to the Premier League, be it winning the league or navigating the playoffs, would be acceptable.
