Four arrested on murder suspicion after violent incident in Stoke-on-Trent

Police arrested four locals on suspicion of murder after a teenager died and another was critically injured in Meir, Stoke-on-Trent.

At around 23:45 BST on Friday, officers responded to reports of violence on Brookhouse Road in Meir, Stoke-on-Trent. A man in his late teens was pronounced dead at the location, and a second teen was rushed to hospital where he remains in a critical yet stable state. Police have detained four individuals from the area - two 18-year-olds, a 20-year-old and a 17-year-old - all on suspicion of murder, with the youngest also charged with attempted murder.

Detectives emphasized that there is no ongoing danger to the public and are working to determine the circumstances of the attack. The force continues to appeal for information from anyone with relevant details.
