Four Candidates Lead OCTA Research’s 2028 Senate Preference Survey
A recent OCTA Research poll shows Raffy Tulfo, Robin Padilla, Alan Peter Cayetano and Vico Sotto tied at the top of a hypothetical 2028 senatorial preference list.
In a nationwide poll of 1,200 adults, OCTA Research asked respondents to select up to 12 names they would vote for if the May 2028 senatorial elections were held today. Raffy Tulfo emerged with the highest support at 47%, closely followed by Robin Padilla (45%), Alan Peter Cayetano (44%) and Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto (42%). The institute noted that the four share a statistical rank range, preventing a definitive ordering.
Former senator Grace Poe and Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte each garnered 36%, ranking fifth and sixth, while Loren Legarda received 31%. Additional candidates such as Abby Binay, Mark Lapid, Francis “Chiz” Escudero, Sonny Angara, Manny Pacquiao, Ben Tulfo and Jinggoy Estrada fell between 22% and 29%. OCTA emphasized the ±3-point margin of error and warned that the results are a snapshot, not a forecast, of future voter behavior.
