Four dead, including infant, after three-vehicle collision in Pagoh

A three-vehicle crash in Pagoh killed two elderly women, a five-year-old girl and a nine-month-old baby, while several others were injured.

At 5.19 pm, the Pagoh fire and rescue station sent a seven-member crew and a Fire Rescue Tender to a multi-vehicle crash. Responders found a Ford Ranger that had collided with a stationary lorry and then been struck by a Toyota Vios, while a Scania trailer was also involved. The Ranger carried two elderly women, a five-year-old girl and a nine-month-old baby, all of whom were pronounced dead at the scene.

A man in his 40s and another passenger sustained injuries, as did the Vios occupants - a man in his 70s and a 35-year-old woman - who received initial treatment before hospital transfer. The trailer driver reportedly escaped unharmed. Police received the bodies for further handling.
