Four family members die after refrigerator blast ignites fire in Belagavi home

In Belagavi's Chavat Galli neighborhood, a refrigerator is said to have exploded late on Monday, triggering a rapid fire that consumed a family home near the Central Bus Stand. The inferno resulted in four fatalities: Gajanan Damone, 65; Sharada Damone, 45; Bharati Damone, 50; and Roshan Damone, 21. Two other members of the household, Priya Damone, 28, and Ganga Damone, 25, suffered severe injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The incident unfolded while the family was celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi, adding to the community's distress. Authorities confirmed the blaze originated within the jurisdiction of the Market police station and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the refrigerator's explosion.
