Four family members killed and driver gravely injured in SUV crash on NH-44 near Hyderabad

A Toyota Innova collided with a culvert and overturned on NH-44 near Hyderabad, killing four family members and leaving the driver in critical condition.

Early Saturday morning, a Toyota Innova carrying a family from Nawabpet mandal crashed into a culvert on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru National Highway (NH-44) near Palamakula village, about 25 km from Hyderabad. The vehicle, reportedly traveling at high speed after attending Ganesh immersion rites, hit the culvert and overturned, leaving the car heavily damaged. Four passengers - Kethavath Limbya (54), his wife Kethavath Jamuna (45), Katravath Mansingh (48) and Kethavath Vasram (45) - all members of the Lambada community from Chowdur village, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, Sabavath Ashok, sustained major injuries and was taken to Trident Hospital in Shamshabad, where his condition remains critical. Their bodies have been moved to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination. Shamshabad police have registered a case and are probing the circumstances surrounding the collision.
