Four Filipino workers wounded in Riyadh airport strike, three placed in ICU
Four Filipino nationals injured in the Riyadh airport attack are hospitalized, with three now in intensive care, according to the Department of Migrant Workers.
The Department of Migrant Workers confirmed that four Filipino citizens were injured during the missile attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Three of the victims remain in intensive care units across different Riyadh hospitals, while the fourth is expected to be released soon. Labor Attaché Dominador Salonga relayed the information, and the DMW pledged continued support and monitoring for the injured.
Filipino workers in the kingdom were advised to steer clear of potential target zones such as military installations, stay informed via embassy and Migrant Workers Office announcements, coordinate flight plans if returning home, and refrain from photographing attacks, which is prohibited. Saudi civil aviation officials said the strike killed at least 12 people and wounded more than 300, with a diplomatic source linking the incident to a Houthi-fired missile. Airport operations were suspended following the blast.
