Four Frontier flight attendants fall ill during Cleveland-to-Fort Lauderdale trip

Frontier Airlines flight F9-1046 left Cleveland early Thursday morning bound for Fort Lauderdale when four of its five flight attendants became ill mid-flight, reporting headaches and nausea. The captain informed Miami air traffic controllers, who also handle Fort Lauderdale approaches, and asked that medical personnel be ready at the gate upon landing. Despite the cabin emergency, the aircraft touched down without incident.

The airline subsequently cancelled the planned return flight to Cleveland at 11:30 a.m. and also scrapped a second scheduled round-trip for the afternoon. No injuries to passengers were noted, and the incident was treated as a medical event rather than a safety breach.
