Four gunmen open fire on AAP leader Gurpreet Singh in Punjab market
An Aam Aadmi Party figure, Gurpreet Singh, was killed and his companion Harpreet injured when four attackers opened fire on their car in Mamdot.
Gurpreet Singh, a leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, was traveling with 22-year-old Harpreet when four gunmen arrived in a vehicle, exited and shot at their car in Mamdot's main bazaar. Singh was pronounced dead at the Civil Hospital, while Harpreet, wounded, was transferred to a private hospital in Ludhiana. Police have launched an investigation to identify the assailants.
