Four individuals remanded after Rohingya teenager dies near Taman Desa Kujid cemetery

Three Rohingya workers and their employer were ordered to be remanded for a week following the death of an 18-year-old Rohingya man outside the Taman Desa Kujid Muslim cemetery.

In Kota Baru, a magistrate ordered a seven-day remand for three Rohingya workers, one of whom is a woman, and a local employer after an 18-year-old Rohingya man died outside the Taman Desa Kujid Muslim cemetery. The magistrate, Tuan Fakhrul Razzi Abd Hamid, signed the order at the Magistrates' Court, with the remand beginning the following day. Police received the report at 10.30 pm and determined the victim died on site from a neck wound likely caused by a sharp object.

Two suspects were taken into custody at the location, while the woman and another Rohingya were later apprehended in Selising, Pasir Puteh. All four suspects arrived at the court at 9.30 am for the remand hearing, and they are being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
