Four killed in shooting as police launch manhunt in St. Vincent

Police in St. Vincent and the Grenadines are conducting a manhunt after a shooting in the Green Hill area, just outside Kingstown, resulted in four fatalities and four injuries. Acting Police Commissioner Trevor Bailey briefed that three corpses were found lying on a public road, a female victim was discovered inside a parked car, and another body was located on adjacent land, all bearing apparent gunshot wounds. Two of the injured victims remain hospitalized.

No suspects have been apprehended, and investigators are still determining the motive behind the attack. National Security Minister St. Clair Leacock condemned the incident as "unnecessary" and highlighted the broader challenge of gang violence, noting 37 murders have been recorded this year in the 110,000-person nation. The island, which relies heavily on tourism, faces growing concerns that such violence could undermine its reputation as a luxury destination.
