Four people injured, two fatally, in small aircraft crash near Fresno airport

A small aircraft crashed near Sierra Sky Park Airport in Fresno, California, resulting in two fatalities and two passengers being taken to hospital in critical condition. The wreckage was found close to Blythe Avenue, and multiple local agencies, including the Fresno police department, Fresno fire department, Fresno County sheriff’s office and North Central fire department, responded to the incident. The two survivors were rushed to a medical facility for intensive treatment.

Pacific Gas and Electric Company dispatched crews after the crash disrupted electricity for nearby homes, but service was restored shortly thereafter. No information about the victims' identities has been released, and investigators have not yet determined what caused the plane to go down.
