Four Seasons Revamps Venice's Historic Danieli Hotel Ahead of Film Festival

Four Seasons unveiled a refreshed Danieli Hotel in Venice, timed for the city’s film festival, after a renovation that highlighted the lagoon’s palette and Venetian architectural details. Interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon guided the project, using colors inspired by the water and local marble, while artisans restored gilded motifs, stonework and historic staircases. The property now features 120 rooms and suites, with an eventual total of 168 after the Palazzo Danieli Excelsior conversion in 2027, and integrates modern amenities such as custom media walls, automated curtains, and advanced climate systems.

The rooftop Terrazza Danieli restaurant received a redesign with pastel tones and mirrors, and chef Adriano Rausa serves contemporary Italian dishes with a Venetian twist. A new spa, including treatment rooms, a sauna and a bathhouse, is expected to open in the second half of the year. Four Seasons president Rainer Stampfer and hotel general manager Christian Zandonella highlighted the reopening as a milestone for the brand’s Italian portfolio.
