Four teenagers detained in connection with fatal shooting at Stockholm youth sports hall

A 24-year-old municipal employee was killed during a football match for disadvantaged youths, and four teenagers are now in custody on suspicion of involvement.

Saba Abraham, a 24-year-old employee of Stockholm city who worked with youth, was fatally shot inside Kämpetorpshallen in Älvsjö during a football game for disadvantaged children. Authorities have placed in custody two teenage boys, aged 16 and 17, a 15-year-old boy, and a 14-year-old girl, all suspected of either committing the murder or assisting in it. The suspects come from various parts of the country, with the older boys reportedly traveling from Gothenburg shortly before the incident.

Gerell explains that such crimes are often organized by temporary groups that divide tasks, allowing gang members to shift risk onto others. He also suggests the possibility of an unknown organizer behind the attack. Abraham had no known ties to the suspects, and one theory under investigation is that the killing could be a retaliatory act.
