Four Young Men Plead Guilty to Arson of Jewish Ambulances in London

Four men - Hamza Iqbal (20), Rehan Khan (19), Judex Atshatshi (18) and Saif Ali (18) - have entered guilty pleas for an arson attack on four ambulances operated by the Jewish charity Hatzola in Golders Green, north-west London. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of 23 March, saw three of the accused ignite the fully stocked vehicles while a fourth waited nearby, leading to gas canister explosions and the loss of each £250,000 ambulance plus four charging stations valued at roughly £5,000 each.

Prosecutor Leo Seelig indicated that the Crown Prosecution Service intends to argue the case as terrorism-related, but Mrs Justice Cheema Grubb postponed any determination on that point. The court will issue sentences after a pending trial of Subhan Ahmed, who denies assisting an offender. The case underscores heightened concerns over hate-motivated attacks on the Jewish community.
