Fouzi Lekjaa pledges national mobilization to host 2030 World Cup final in Morocco

During a pre-election rally in the province chosen for the future Hassan II stadium, Fouzi Lekjaa declared that Morocco will mobilize every institution and citizen to win the right to host the 2030 World Cup final. He presented the stadium in Benslimane as the centerpiece of a larger development plan that includes new transport links and urban upgrades between Rabat and Casablanca. Lekjaa, who also serves as the government’s delegate minister for the budget, highlighted Morocco’s joint bid with Spain and Portugal and reminded listeners that FIFA has not yet announced the final’s location.

His remarks coincide with his recent entry into the Authenticity and Modernity Party, adding a technocratic profile to the campaign focused on cost of living, youth employment and voter turnout. By tying the football event to national pride and economic growth, Lekjaa aims to turn the World Cup into a catalyst for Morocco’s international standing and domestic development.
