Fox & Friends co-host Lawrence Jones undergoes second eye surgery for detached retina

Lawrence Jones III announced he is off the air after a second retinal detachment required another operation, and expressed optimism about returning soon.

Lawrence Jones III revealed via social media that he is currently absent from broadcasting after suffering a second retinal detachment, which required another surgical intervention. He explained that the original tear stemmed from a sports injury in his youth and that a new detachment is a common complication. The co-host expressed gratitude toward Fox management, his fellow anchors, and the audience for their unwavering encouragement.

He noted that the latest operation was carried out by a leading care team and conveyed optimism about returning to the airwaves soon. Jones joined one outlet in December 2018 and was appointed a permanent weekday co-host of Fox & Friends in September 2023, after previously hosting a weekend program. The network is owned by Fox Corp, a sister company to News Corp.
