Framework offers refunds and price cuts on Laptop 13 Pro RAM

Framework has secured a limited supply of cheaper Micron 32GB and 64GB RAM modules and is refunding the price difference to some Laptop 13 Pro pre-order customers.

Framework reported that it has found a limited quantity of Micron 32GB and 64GB LPCAMM2 memory modules at a reduced cost, allowing it to lower RAM prices for the Laptop 13 Pro. The company will refund the price difference to customers whose laptops were shipped with the previously higher RAM price. For pending pre-orders through Batch 10 that were configured with the higher-priced memory, Framework will adjust the price and give buyers the option to upgrade at the new lower rate.

Any leftover lower-cost RAM will be allocated to later pre-order batches and future new orders. The company also provides a form for DIY Edition owners to switch their RAM configuration at the revised price. Framework emphasizes its commitment to passing savings on to keep its computers affordable amid ongoing component shortages.

Why it matters
