France conducts high-intensity nuclear raid simulation in Operation Poker
The French strategic air forces carried out a simulated high-intensity nuclear raid, known as Operation Poker, over national airspace from Saint-Dizier.
From the Saint-Dizier base in Haute-Marne, two-seat Rafale jets prepared for a drill that mimics a nuclear strike. The exercise, part of the strategic air forces, represents about 7 % of the Air and Space Force personnel. Operation Poker involves four annual simulations within a closed airspace governed by special safety rules.
