France to supply radars and missile interceptors to strengthen Ukraine's air defence
President Emmanuel Macron announced that France will provide Ukraine with radar systems and interceptor missiles as part of accelerated military aid.
Macron said Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy grid threaten heating and electricity for millions. To counter the risk of a broader paralysis, France is fast-tracking a defence package that includes new radars and interceptor weapons for Kyiv. He also pledged active involvement of the G7 Energy group in supporting the effort.
