Frankfurt towing crew shot at while loading vehicle, suspects at large
Two workers from a Frankfurt towing service were fired upon while loading a car, but escaped unharmed; police are searching for a group of young men suspected of the attack.
In Frankfurt am Main, two employees of a local towing service were targeted with gunfire as they were loading a car that police say belonged to an 18-year-old. The teenager had initially assaulted one of the workers, causing a hospital visit, and called a colleague for assistance. When the second worker arrived with a small car and the vehicle was secured on the tow truck, shooters opened fire, prompting the crew to drive away and abandon the towed car.
No one was injured. Police have identified a group of young men as suspects; they fled the area and later moved toward Frankfurt-Eckenheim, where investigators are now intensively searching for them. A police spokesperson noted that the weapon type is still under investigation and that the incident is unrelated to recent “VaaS” explosions that have caused property damage but no casualties in Frankfurt and Offenbach.
