French TV crew attacked again by Israeli settlers in West Bank

A TF1 news team was assaulted by settlers near the Duma and Marjam area of the occupied West Bank, according to activist group Looking the Occupation in the Eye.

During the morning of the second day of Rosh Hashanah, a TF1 news crew arrived in the Duma and Marjam area of the occupied West Bank together with two activists from Looking the Occupation in the Eye. The journalists intended to interview local settlers and kept a distance of at least 200 metres from the Havat Michtam LeDavid outpost. A group of settlers, wearing holiday attire, descended from the outpost and launched a violent assault on the crew and the activists.

This is the second time this week that the same TF1 team has been targeted by settlers. The activist group condemned the attack, saying that violence and racial supremacy occur every day without exception.

Why it matters

The attack underscores ongoing tensions and safety risks for journalists covering the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
