Friends testify about Alan Jones sending explicit texts and wearing open robe
Two friends of complainant “C” told police that Alan Jones had sent explicit messages and appeared in an open robe during visits, testimony presented at his criminal trial.
In the ongoing criminal trial of former 2GB host Alan Jones, two friends of the primary complainant, identified only as “C”, provided police statements that were read in court. They recounted that Jones had worn an open robe while “C” was at his house and had sent a Christmas-time text containing a vulgar phrase about “C’s” anatomy. One friend said “C” spoke of Jones offering a massage and touching his leg during a car ride, describing the remarks as casual.
The other recalled a conversation about Jones asking for a photo of his penis, noting that “C” claimed to delete such messages and never showed them. The case covers 20 indecent-assault charges and two counts of non-consensual sexual touching, alleged to have occurred between 2003 and 2020. Jones denies all physical allegations. Additional testimony last month suggested Jones had “full-grabbed” the complainant, and “C” reportedly discussed the matter with investigative reporter Kate McClymont.
