Fujifilm unveils Instax Pal 2, a compact digital camera with advanced features

Fujifilm has introduced the Instax Pal 2, expanding on the quirky, printer-bundled Pal that debuted three years prior. The updated version retains the miniature, analog-camera aesthetic while adding modern digital capabilities such as a 10-megapixel ⅓.06-inch sensor, f/2.2 28 mm lens, autofocus with optional face detection, and a 1.3-inch LCD screen for framing shots. An optical viewfinder, joystick, and lever mimic classic film-camera controls, and the camera supports ISO, shutter speed, and exposure compensation adjustments.

Users can sync the Pal 2 with Fujifilm’s mobile app via Bluetooth or a slide-out USB-C port to apply effects, download images, or print them wirelessly. Additional features include a built-in flash, tripod mount, self-timer, and a rechargeable battery claimed to provide up to three hours of operation. The device will launch in the US later this month at a price of $169.95.
